Tin Can Craft Stall at Bus Stop Over 2009

Set the stall up next to the van, so had plenty of fresh coffee, cold beer and a nice warm bed when needed.

My bro and eldest son oversee the stall.
This was my first ever craft stall I had ever organised. Thanks to the encouragement of my friend, we ran up to Loughborough for Bus Stop Over. Loads of interest & viewers a bit like an outdoor gallery, but not so many sales. Profits were instantly turned into VW parts!!!

Cast White Stoneware Ratlook VW Beetle

Slip cast white stoneware ceramic beetles, sprayed over with manganese and iron oxide to create that rat look.
Piled up roof rack, slammed suspension and narrowed beam!!!

Volkswagen Tiles

I developed a whole range of stoneware slabs utilising a graffiti stencil type approach.
Wonderful combination of tight and loose graphics, and so reusable a technique but without total duplication. Glazes often fuse creating new results.
 A Raku fired example.

 Glass inlaid iron crosses.
 Hub cap reflection.
 Electric blue and rust.
 More VW bus signs.
